Join us in rescuing and rehabilitating French Bulldogs.
Independent SoCal French Bulldog Rescue (SCFBR) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving French Bulldogs. We were founded in 2023 out of necessity as the breed’s popularity grew—and so did the number of sick, injured, and unwanted Frenchies in need of help.
At SCFBR, every rescue dog is placed into a loving foster home, not a facility, where they receive the care and attention they deserve. Our rescue is run entirely by volunteers who give their time out of love for the breed. We rely solely on private donations to cover medical expenses, food, and daily care.
In 2024, we rescued over 100 French bulldogs, with the average cost of care exceeding $2,000 per dog. Sadly, 2025 has already exceeded these numbers.
Your support makes our work possible and helps us give every Frenchie the chance at a forever home.
Our mission is to rescue sick, injured, and unwanted French Bulldogs, medically rehabilitate them, and find
them loving, forever homes.
We are forever committed to the education of the unknowing public, breeders, and buyers alike.
Our team consists of our Founder and President, Debra Munt and volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare, especially the French Bulldog breed. We strive to provide the best care, foster homes and forever homes possible for each animal that comes into our care. SCFBR relies solely on volunteers to staff our organization and achieve our mission through fundraising, social media, transport, administrative tasks, foster homes, and adoptions.
SCFBR is a small rescue and we do not have a centralized location. We are strictly foster home based. Because we are not veterinarians or trained specialists, we are not able to give any medical advice for animals that are not in our rescue. However, we work closely with our trusted veterinarians who help guide us on our mission to provide the best individualized medical treatment and rehabilitation plan for the animals in our care.
By donating, you directly support the rescue, care, and rehoming of French Bulldogs in need. Thank you for your generosity.
