Saving French Bulldogs in Southern California

SoCal French Bulldog Rescue (SCFBR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving French Bulldogs in need across Southern California. We were founded in 2023 as the demand for the breed surged — and with it, the number of Frenchies suffering from neglect, medical issues, or abandonment.
Every dog we rescue is welcomed into a loving foster home, not a kennel, so they can begin healing with the comfort, compassion, and care they deserve. Our organization is run entirely by volunteers who give their time and hearts to help these incredible dogs.
The cost of care continues to rise, and many of our dogs require extensive medical treatment. In 2024, we rescued over 130 French Bulldogs, with average care costs exceeding $2,000 per dog. Sadly, 2025 has already surpassed those numbers — and every day brings more requests for help.
Your support makes our work possible. Together, we can give every Frenchie a second chance at a happy, safe, and loving forever home.

What We Do: Our mission is to rescue sick, injured, and unwanted French Bulldogs, provide them with the medical care and rehabilitation they need, and help them find loving forever homes.
How We Help: We work tirelessly to give every dog a second chance — whether they arrive with medical needs, neglect histories, or are simply no longer wanted.
Advocating for the Breed: We are committed to educating the public, breeders, and buyers to promote responsible ownership and improve the welfare and quality of life for this beloved breed.

Who We Are: Our team consists of our Founder and President, Debra Munt, along with volunteers who are passionate about French Bulldogs and animal welfare.
How We Operate: SCFBR is fully volunteer-run, and together we provide foster homes, hands-on care, and adoption support for every dog who enters our rescue.
Community Support: Our volunteers help through fundraising, social media, transport, administrative tasks, home checks, and adoption coordination — ensuring each dog gets the second chance they deserve.

Foster-Based Rescue: SCFBR has no physical shelter — every dog lives in a safe and caring home environment rather than a kennel.
Where We Serve: Our rescue efforts and foster homes are primarily located across Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Ventura, San Bernardino, Imperial, Santa Barbara, Kern and Riverside Counties, allowing us to help French Bulldogs throughout Southern California.
Personalized Veterinary Care: We partner with trusted veterinarians to ensure every dog receives individualized care and rehabilitation.

Your donation is sometimes the only thing standing between a helpless Frenchie and a happy, healthy life. Most of the dogs we rescue arrive sick, neglected, or abandoned — needing immediate medical attention, comfort, and a safe place to recover.
Here’s what your generosity provides:
• Urgent surgeries for airway obstruction and spinal injuries
• Treatment for infections, skin disease, and eye conditions
• Safe foster homes filled with love instead of fear
• Rehabilitation and training for dogs who have never known kindness
• Lifelong commitment — even hospice care when needed
We are a fully volunteer-run rescue. No salaries. No paid staff.
Your donation goes straight to saving lives.
Thank you for helping Frenchies get the chance they deserve — to breathe, play, love, and finally be home.
