Foster homes are the heart of our rescue. They give French Bulldogs a safe place to heal, decompress, and discover love—often for the very first time.
When a dog enters a foster home, they get:

Fostering allows pups who were abandoned, surrendered, or found struggling to recover from medical treatments and rebuild trust in people again. It also helps us learn what each dog needs so we can match them with the perfect forever family.

Every foster home gives a French Bulldog a safe place to heal, decompress, and start trusting again.
If you live in Southern California and want to help save lives — fostering is the most direct way to do it. 💛🐾
Foster Requirements
To foster with SCFBR, you must:
- Live in the Southern California area
- Be able to travel to a SCFBR-approved veterinary clinic (up to 30 miles from your home)
- Have all resident pets spayed/neutered, flea-treated, and current on vaccines
- Provide a safe environment and lots of love
- Follow medical care instructions when required
Approved medical expenses are covered by SCFBR!
How the Foster Process Works

2️⃣ Home Check — A virtual or in-person home visit with a SCFBR volunteer
3️⃣ Approval + Paperwork — Sign our Foster Manual Agreement
4️⃣ Placement — We match you with a Frenchie in need!
